Age: Unknown, but at least 150
Nickname: The Knowing
Role: Wizard, Overseer of the Avalayle Grand
Quote: “Many men think themselves great in their time, but few use their time to be truly great.”
Zarin the Knowing
Appearance: Wizened and handsome, this powerfully built man has as much or more muscle than the strongest Knights. Age has left him dignified with deep lines cutting through his bronzed skin. His presence is large and commanding, often towering over those before him; and though he speaks calmly, his words feel like thunder and utterly absolute. He maintains a trimmed beard and short layered hair from a bygone era. His clothing is comprised of practical, modest robes with ties in the sleeve for working, and tall boots raised to his knees, consuming his baggy trousers.
Known Information: Considered by the nobles as one of if not the most powerful person in all of Avalayle. “Not to be trifled with, and thankfully one who tends to his own business without mucking himself in the deeds of the Four Houses.”
Commonfolk consider him a saintly old man who presides over and judges the Avalayle Grand. Friend to the church and peacekeeper.

Honored Blood of the Sun Mother
Solnessa Ebonwick
Age: 47 years old
Nickname: The Blazing
Role: Honored Blood of the Sun Mother
Quote: “No shadow can survive the Sun’s loving light.”
Appearance: Tall and slender with golden skin and silver hair that falls in curls to her waist. Warm green eyes and a freckled face observe everything with a sneer while her powerful body glistens from a day's hard work.
Known Information: Beloved by the nobility for maintaining peace and providing miracles. Often gets lost in the thrill of the grand, behaving like a common spectator.
Commonfolk find her to be a violent and frightful woman who seems to belong on the battlefield, not the church.
Honored Blood of the Moon Father,
Scyldan Garrus
Age: 54 years old
Nickname: The Nightsinger
Role: Honored Blood of the Moon Father
Quote: “There is a darkness in each of us… The question is not if it will come out, but how we will use it.”
Appearance: This rakish and pensive man carries himself with an effortless gait, jovial and unburdened. Few who see him believe he could be an Honored Blood, let alone associated with the Church of the Moonfather. He radiates charisma and danger in equal measure and behaves wildly outside of tradition.
Known Information: The nobility find him to be a “mischievous pot-stirrer hiding behind his religious rank, which he surely must have stolen or schemed his way into acquiring.”
The commonfolk believe he is a true friend who regularly departs his temple and wanders the coast in search of those who need aid and then providing it.
Honored Blood of the Sea Sister,
Fairgge Ciel
Age: 19 years old
Nickname: The Stormbringer
Role: Honored Blood of the Sea Sister
Quote: “I will drown the non-believers in their own sinful tears.”
Appearance: Petite and slender with olive skin, red eyes, and silky blonde hair streaked with green and blues. Though fragile in appearance, her demeanor is anything but such. Her face is permanently marked with a ferocious scowl and brows knitted in thinly veiled aggression. The veins in her neck and temple throb and her jaw is clenched tight with big shining, bulging eyes. Her wardrobe is resplendent, part warrior’s garb, part silken allure.
Known Information: The nobility know her to be a psychotic child who somehow channels the Goddess of the Sea. “A danger to the realm and the church and someone who must be removed from her position of power immediately.”
The commonfolk consider her to be a champion fighting in their stead. While other lords and Honored Blood are sitting peacefully on their thrones, Fairgee is actively slaying monsters and keeping the realm safe.
Honored Blood of the Earth Brother
Middengaerd Zemlji
Age: 46 years old
Nickname: The Massive and Ever Laughing
Role: Honored Blood of the Earth Brother
Quote: “For all those I have failed, I must be strong.”
Appearance: This absolute behemoth of a man is rippling in brawn and muscle. Standing nearly seven feet tall, his legs are as wide as the average man’s waist. His hair is kept wild and messy and a bushy beard covers his jaw. Bright shining eyes reveal a tender spirit beneath.
Known Information: Respected by the nobility and considered the fairest of the Honored Blood. “Truly dedicated to his service, though his obsession with being beloved by the peasantry is concerning.”
Commonfolk admire him, knowing his story well. “He saved the Earth Brother Temple from utter annihilation during the dawn of Second Monster Crisis and restored it to its former glory! There is no finer man on the Coast! He asks for nothing and gives everything. Quite possibly the most noble and powerful person in all of Avalayle.”
Honored Blood of the Sky Twins
Cialla Zellair
Age: 38 years old
Nickname: The Tempest
Role: Honored Blood of the Sky Twins
Quote: “Only the wicked will bleed. The innocent have nothing to fear.”
Appearance: Fair skinned, with bright silver blonde hair, long blonde eyelashes, and remarkably beautiful and androgynous features. Their plump rosy lips and sublime face contrast with their muscular and slender frame. Wide broad shoulders and rippling muscle taper to a narrow waist, while flowing sheer and elegant silk do little to cover their divine physique.
Known Information: The nobility consider them the most outright dangerous of the Honored Blood. Inscrutable, impossible to read, and dangerously alluring. Every attempt to “play” them results in exposing themselves rather than gaining anything.
The commonfolk find them to be a stunning beauty and servant of the Gods. Yet, even for all their heroics, the people fear them, almost even more than the Sinful Terrors they slay. “It’s the look in their eyes… Like they’re looking for the sin in ya…”
~ Hearth Wardens ~
Hearth Wardens of the Sun Mother
Age: 37 years old
Nickname: The Scorchwoken
Role: Paladin Alpha, Hearth Warden of the Sun Mother
Quote: “My flame shall burn even the most wretched terrors.”
Rowith Igniford
Appearance: Tall, commanding, muscular and handsome. This dark skinned man has short cropped hair with shaved sides and sea green eyes. Stubble dots his impressive jawline, and though he wears a paladin’s armor, it can barely contain his surging physique.
Known Information: The nobility consider him a prominent sword for hire, working for any House that blesses the temple with a large enough donation. While he doesn’t respect his place amongst the court regularly speaking to the nobles as equals, he is brutally efficient and helped several merchant caravans reach their intended destination since the Monster Crisis began.
Commonfolk see him as a hero from a storybook. Gallant, handsome, and dangerous; he is everything a man should be.
Hearth Warden of the Moon Father
Age: 33 years old
Nickname: The Twice-Lived
Role: Paladin Alpha, Hearth Warden of the Moon Father
Quote: “The only hole you can’t dig yourself out of is the grave.”
Vanessumi Rose
Appearance: This intimidating woman has skin as pale as moonlight, golden eyes, and raven black hair. She is tall, lithe, and layered in toned muscle. Across her face and body are hundreds of scars, pox marks, and old wounds. Though her visage suggests her every moment must be painful, a grateful smirk remains plastered to her lips and a shimmering veil of silver radiates around her. Though fearsome, there is something undeniably beautiful about her.
Known Information: The nobility see her as little more than the Moon Father’s reckless blade. Yet no matter what she endures, it seems she cannot die and fights like so.
Commonfolk know her to be a forsaken woman, who was given a second chance at life through her pious devotion to the Kindred Gods. Now she lives as a champion of the people, helping those with similar misfortune.
Hearth Wardens of the Sea Sister
Age: 63 years old
Nickname: The Crashing Wave
Role: Paladin Alpha, Hearth Warden of the Sea Sister
Quote: “I thought I was meant to be the tide, shaping shore and country, but I was merely the rain, heralding the coast of the storm to come.”
Randar Estour
Appearance: This towering, barrel chested older gentleman has the body of a young warrior with a thick mustache and flowing black hair. His stormy gray eyes reflect a lifetime of wisdom and hard choices while his posture shows the weight of what he has carried.
Known Information: Most nobility truly despise Randar, “This raving lunatic threw the whole damn system into madness when he stepped down and put a tyrannical child in charge of the Sea Sister’s Church. The whole sect must be lost, perhaps something on the island is infecting their minds.”
The commonfolk consider him a fearsome, but generous gentleman, offering his services to any sailor in need of crossing the coast.
Hearth Warden of the Earth Brother
Age: 23 years old
Nickname: Nature’s Favored
Role: Paladin Alpha, Hearth Warden of the Earth Brother
Quote: “Strength is more than mere brawn. Creativity and willingness to improvise are a much more deadly warfare.”
Gwyndairis Diatorna
Appearance: This petite and curvaceous woman has rich caramel colored skin, dark brown eyes, and voluminous hair in braided pleats. She wears a crown of antlers, silk robes, and is utterly adorned in floral accessories. A stud nose ring is affixed with a golden chain that connects to a large crystal earring. Though not physically intimidating, there is an air of confidence and danger about her.
Known Information: Mostly inconsequential to the nobility, “A rare member of the Kindred Clergy that knows their proper place. They must have a hell of time ‘protecting’ The Honored Blood Middengaerd though. She doesn't appear to be a fighter, so she must harbor some secret well of power.”
The commonfolk find her friendly, down to earth, and sisterly. “She never put on airs and is as quick to share a drink as she is to shepherd your soul. Not entirely sure why she isn’t just an Elderling. Doesn’t seem capable of being a Paladin Alpha.”
Hearth Wardens of the Sky Twins
Age: 27 years old
Nickname: The Fair Wind
Role: Paladin Alpha, Hearth Warden of the Sky Twins
Quote: “Just give me a reason to break you…”
Llewyld Daundelyon
Appearance: Athletic, confident and powerful. They boast spiky red hair with a long low ponytail. Though their face is set in a permanent antagonizing scowl, gentle features and bright eyes shine through and belittle their aggression. They despise being called cute but hear it whispered everywhere they go.
Known Information: Most of the nobility consider them a heretic traitorous to the backbone of Avalayle for daring to press their blade to Marcus Darkner’s throat after he questioned Honored Blood Cialla’s integrity publicly. “The damn fool was practically begging to slit his throat! Reckless fool could’ve started a war with all of Evermoor!”
The commonfolk consider them to be a hot head, rash, and far too aggressive but willing to stand up for what's right and put their neck out against the nobility.
