The Night Terror

~ Bio ~

The Night Terror has been the eternal enemy of the Kindred Gods, seeking to destory and unmake them at every turn in history. Throughout the centuries of man, other God’s came into prominence across Evaira, and the Kindred Gods fell toward obscurity. It wasn’t until the Prophet Landar devoted his life to ressurecting the tradition that the Night Terror was worshipped as apart of the Pantheon. For the first time folk prayed to the Night Terror to appease its darkness, rather than claim it’s foul power.

~ The Church ~

Worship of the Night Terror was short lived, as it’s pressence was radical and unsettling. So much so, that 150 years ago Honored Blood of the Sun Mother, Breyna the Bright led a devestating raid on the church. In a single night, the sacred grounds were burned to ash, and all of it’s priests beheaded. Nothing was sparred, and all of their relics, scrolls, and sacred texts were lost to time.

There was a brief rebellion across Avalayle, but ultimately the Four Houses agreed to not rebuild the temple, and outlaw worship of the Night Terror. To some, this was the beginning of the end, and have used this moment as the cause for every struggle along the coast since. Other’s still stand by the radical move, claiming the Night Terror never had any business being worshipped to begin with.

~ The Temple ~

Now nothing more than desecrated ruins, most folk don’t even know where it’s located. Though what little remains of hisotric text and documentation suggests it was on the southern body of Avalayle.
